Your clinician explains your options and writes up a plan. Prescriptions, if appropriate, go to your pharmacy. Follow-up visits are booked the same way.

What video care can and can’t do
Your clinician can
- Talk through your symptoms, history and goals
- Order lab tests at a lab near you
- Prescribe medicine when it is clinically appropriate, sent to your pharmacy
- Refer you to in-person care when you need it
Video care can’t
- Handle emergencies. Call 911, or call or text 988 in a crisis
- Replace a physical exam, imaging or procedures
- Guarantee a prescription. That is always your clinician’s decision
- Prescribe every medicine. Some need an in-person visit
